Now, the total list of languages could be debatable for the fact that there are dialects within languages and some dialects could be seperate languages on their own. THE SENUFO SPEAKERS OF GHANA

 The Senufo ethnic group comprises of a group of people that are originally from the Ivory Coast, a neighbouring country of Ghana to the western border. They migrated to Ghana and they form a continuum of the Senufo ethnic group from Ivory Coast into Ghana.

These languages are related to each other in the Ivory Coast and they represent the widely spoken languages in the Ivory Coast. Those spoken in Ghana relate each other but not so much except they have close relations with certain languages in the Ivory Coast. This is to say that if you should learn a Senufo language in Ghana, when you get to Ivory Coast, you would have less trouble communicating with natives although French may come in handy.

Senufo languages are a branch of the wider Mande languages spoken in the Senegal and Mali areas. The Senufo are descendants of the Mande so they mostly practice the Islamic Region. Thus, the Senufo in Ghana, Nafaana, Ndwera (Ligbi) and Badu are mostly Muslims with quite a few being Christians.

The Senufo languages spoken in Ghana use the Akan accent in speaking at least to some point: this is exhibited by Badu also called Kulango. For Nafaanra and Ndwera, they also tend to apply the Akan accent but not at every point of speech. They are all located within the Bono-Ahafo region. Ligbi is the third Senufo language spoken in Ghana within the Tain areas.  The Ligbi are called the Banda people likewise the Nafaana who are also called Banda. But then the Badu are known as the Kulange and they speak the Kulango or Badu language.

Senufo languages have lots of Akan borrowings as well especially from the Bono-Twi language. Those in the Ivory Coast are surrounded by different languages thus the differences would be due to linguistic borrowings. We would at this juncture look at their numerical systems as well

Bisa spoken by the Bisa people popularly known in Ghana as the Busangas are located in the Upper East Region of Ghana. The Bisas are also Mande but then they form a very different branch of the Mande languages and it is not so close to the Senufo languages. Languages related to Bisa are found in Burkina Faso as they have their own branch.

You can think of it as Ga being a Kwa language and Twi being a Kwa language but then Twi is within the Akan branch of Kwa and Ga being under the Ga-Dangme branch of Kwa hence, Ga and Twi are related to themselves but not too much.

People also reach out to me for tourism services due to the fact that many companies overprice their services. I have considered the fact that I am still learning and travelling with someone who wishes to know a new place is a plus for me, so - I do not price the tourist any amount rather the tourist pays my transportation to the place of visit

THE EFUTUS ( Article directly sourced from the book KNOW GHANA BETTER written by Huniah Tetteh ) The Efutu ancestors lived with the Ga people when the others had left for the mountains. With time, their dialect was fading away as they became bilingual Ga and Efutu speakers and most of them alternated for the Ga language. The Ga people were confused about the type of language they were speaking. It seemed to be a mixture of languages. Also they had mixed up with the Ga people hence the name “Efutu” which means “mixed-up” in the Ga language. The Efutu learnt fishing and after some years of living with the Ga-Dangmes, they decided to leave to a desolate land where they can salvage their language which had broken down into dialects. Ga and Dangme are closely related languages which have diverged over time due to influences from neighbouring Guan, Akan and Ewe languages; not to forget the grand influence of English, Dutch and Portuguese on these two beautiful languages. THE SEFWI LANGUAGE

 Discovering the Sefwi Language: A Vibrant Voice of Western Ghana The Sefwi language also spelt Sehwi is one of Ghana’s fascinating and culturally rich languages spoken primarily in the Western-North Region in Ghana. It is the heart of communication, identity, and heritage for the Sefwi people, an Akan ethnic subgroup whose roots weave deep into the Guans of Ghana as well. Sefwi is part of the Central Tano branch of the Kwa languages. Guan and Akan languages together make up the Central Tano languages. Sefwi is a daughter language of the Old Anyin language with greater Twi influence since Sefwis are originally Twi speakers who were influenced overtime to speak an Anyin dialect. Brosa, a dialect of the Anyin language shares about 90% lexical similarities with Sefwi as compared to southern Anyin or Anyin proper. MODERN GUAN GROUPS OF GHANA AND LANGUAGES

Guans are scattered all over Ghana even to sub-Saharan West Africa. They are not scattered in the sense that they are completely dispersed but then, their settlements is in an amazing pattern that is Western Ghana, Southern Ghana, Northern Ghana, Eastern Ghana. They were initially in clans but we cannot at the moment group them into clans again due to gross linguistic changes that have affected most Guan languages. They have assimilated lots of vocabularies from surrounding languages depending on where they are and this have changed their languages and even accents depending on their current settlement.
