ALIGNMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GA-DANGME DEITIES AS KPELE OR KLAMA (By Huniah Tetteh - All rights reserved) Among the Ga and the Dangme people, they have numerous deities. These deities have alignments with the type of music they mostly respond to or prefer or the language they ,mostly prefer to be communicated in. We have the Mey/klama deities, the Kpele deities, Kpãa deities, Okpili/Yifa deities and the Obutu-kpele deities all under the GaDangme Kpele and Klama cult. § Kpele deities mainly respond to the Kpele rhythm and communicate in Ga, Obutu or the Kyripon language. § Mey/Klama deities respond to the Mey/Klama rhythm and mostly communicate in Dangme. § Obutu-Kpele deities also respond to the Obutu rhythm and communicate in a language closely related to that of the Kpele deities but with minimal variation or some form of a dialect § Yifa de...
